Happy staff and time-saving software create win-win for worker rehabilitation
Future Fit Health Group takes a different approach to occupational rehabilitation in New South Wales, championing company culture and the use of smart systems to ensure they can help get their injured clients back to work more effectively.
The company’s director Bryan Phan says he works hard to create a positive work culture and cloud-based software solution Case Manager takes the stress out of administration so his team of 20 rehabilitation consultants can spend more time caring for their clients.
Happy employees tend to provide quality service and the culture his business nurtures makes it stand out from other occupation rehabilitation providers in the area, he says.
“We’ve got a great culture with diversity in our workforce and flexibility in our roles – we all love what we do.”
Future Fit Health Group recruits primarily based on attitude and cultural fit and provides a quality induction programme plus ongoing coaching and mentoring at all levels of the business.
“We really empower the people we recruit to be their best selves.”
Bryan says Case Manager underpins the day-to-day running of the business by handling key functions including invoicing, reporting and analysing productivity, with drag and drop document uploading and templated emails being major time savers for the team. Its ability to function as a cloud-based solution allows members of his team to work from anywhere.
“The software is quite intuitive to use and, because most consultants have used it before, training is a lot easier. Case Manager is regarded as the industry-standard software for occupational rehabilitation providers.”
Case Manager’s batch-invoicing feature means invoices no longer need to be processed one-by-one, saving a significant amount of time, and all reports that must be submitted to regulatory bodies can be created quickly. Its reporting functions are customisable, which saves a lot of time generating specific reports or analysing how the business is tracking against KPIs, Bryan says.
“We’re quite happy with the features Case Manager has and we haven’t been able to find a better solution.”
Bryan has used Case Manager since 2003 when he first started out in the occupational rehabilitation industry. When he started Future Fit Health Group in 2012, he says it was a no-brainer to employ the platform for his business.
He says Future Fit Health Group has two main points of difference which have driven growth and increased customer satisfaction. Firstly it’s a boutique rehabilitation provider where all its team members know each other professionally and personally and enjoy flexibility in how they approach their work, thanks in part to the smart systems they make use of.
Secondly, because the business is not affiliated with large insurance companies, the communities it operates in view it as being less biased and more independent then typical large rehabilitation providers.
“Because the business is not tied to one referral source we can use a well-rounded approach to rehabilitation, offering us more autonomy and freedom in the way we care for our clients.
“We simply focus on finding good consultants and offering quality client care and that’s what we’ve found has worked.”
Bryan is proud of Future Fit Health Group’s reputation in the industry and his team’s ability to deliver first-rate client rehabilitation care.
“We tend to be a quiet achiever in the industry, we don’t like attention, we just focus on doing our work well – our customers know who we are and value what we do.”
